Summary
We are pleased to be able to advertise the post of Teaching Assistant at Lever House Primary School.
The post will initially be to support pupils in Reception.
We have two small classes working in one unit and the successful person will work across provision, under the direction of both teaching staff.
We currently have 45 children in our reception class, with a wide range of Social Educational and pastoral needs.The successful person will work supporting groups and individuals.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is happy, enthusiastic, positive and hard working
- Enjoys working with children and young people
- Has experience of supporting children from a range of backgrounds, with a range of differing needs
- Is a team player and is able to build strong working relationships
- Has excellent communication skills
Can provide effective support in class, on the playground and around schoolThis role will initially be for 30 hours per week, (Mon - Fri, 8.50am — 3.20pm with 30 mins for lunch).
This role is term time only and is a variable hours contract. The salary shown will be paid on a pro rata basis.Please see the attached job description and person specification for necessary qualifications and experience.

NVQ level 2 or above qualification -appropriate to the post (or equivalent)Essential Experience
