We are looking for a dedicated apprentice who is hoping to build a career as a business administrator to work within our well established company supporting all aspects of sales and marketing.


BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION APPRENTICESHIP

(Online Retail Order Dispatch & Customer relations Communication)

This role is for someone interested in products, working in dispatch section to help dispatch daily orders working to a strict system and also dealing with all online and phone customer enquiries, returns, problems etc.

A combination of ONLINE I.T. work, using our Linn works Programme which handles all our online orders on one single platform.

  • Print Daily orders form Linn works (software that channels all orders from various platforms in one single place to manage) You will learn about this
  • Sort and allocate order to process based on product categories to various Individuals.
  • Work in Dispatch as part of small team to pack and dispatch orders.
  • Coordinate all orders, daily count and processing dispatch on ''Linnworks'' and Shipping Companies
  • Sort any issues of unfillable orders etc.

All Apprenticeships will be handled by external companies (apprenticeship providers) who will monitor the apprentices, their Qualification levels etc. But you will be employed by us.

MENTORING & GUIDANCE WILL BE GIVEN; BUT ITS ESSENTIAL YOU HAVE A KEEN INTEREST IN LEARNING NEW SOFTWARE WITH HELP FROM ONLINE TUTORIALS AND BY YOUR SELF IN YOUR OWN TIME ALSO.


Whist you will follow a programme and structure in line with the chosen ApprenticeshipBusiness Administration, you will be diverted over a course of time specially in contributing to the company in this field.


You will ALSO :
( this is absolutely vital to note)

Get involved in the day to day running of the business, which includes: answering phones, assisting the directors with tasks delegated to you, helping on daily basis with daily orders dispatch as this is essential for you to understand what we sell, how its sold, how its dispatched and the problems we come across. This is vital, spending a HALF A day with rest of team in handling daily orders/ help pick and pack and finally in reconciling daily orders.


We are a company of 30 years old; traditionally a manufacturer of knitted ribs and cuffs ( trimmings) and wholesale suppliers to high street manufactures of apparel.

This operation, on a smaller scale still goes on. Over the years we have diversified and changed and adapted with the economic climate to survive. Our business now is 25% Manufacturing and 75% E Commerce of Textiles and Mens Shirts. Our manufactured goods are sold to wholesale clients and retail on online platforms.


E commerce and Retail has become a big part of the business and we are experienced sellers now on eBay ,Amazon & Etsy, having diversified into their international markets also, so we have, apart from UK storefronts, eBay and amazon storefronts on the USA, Canada, Australia Platforms, and the 4 Major European Market places: Germany, France, Spain and Italy.

This is a full time apprentice position.

The apprenticeship will take 18 months and you will be paid the apprenticeship wage of £5.28/hour for the first 12 months of the apprenticeship.

The government are due to announce an increase in apprenticeship wage from April 2024 and you will be paid accordingly.

After the first 12 months your wage will increase to at least National Minimum wage for your age.
