The Early Intervention and Safeguarding service supports some of our most vulnerable young people and Families across a range of interventions.

In partnership with the Liaison & Diversion service we aim to support crime reduction and better access to appropriate support and interventions.


The post holder will assess vulnerable adults, children and young people detained by the Police and undertake planned interventions as identified through a robust assessment process.


The post holder will be a key professional working in partnership with all relevant agencies/organisations to ensure positive health and social outcomes for the service users.


We are looking for a resilient and dynamic individual who can meet the challenges of working with vulnerable people of all ages through a high level of interaction around their complex needs.

You will be willing to travel across the borough and be flexible in work patterns which will include some weekends and evenings where it meets service needs.


We also need someone who has an appropriate qualification to NVQ 3 as a minimum in such areas as social care, health, education, police or extensive equivalent relevant experience.

Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
