Randstad have an opportunity available within Belfast Metropolitan College for a skills support coach to help assist students in enrolment on skills and apprenticeships courses and providing coaching to help overcome any barriers to success.

  • 36 hours per week, Monday Friday, 8:30 4:30pm

Requirements:


  • EITHER hold any level 3 qualification or above PLUS a minimum of two years' experience working in a training and/or administrative environment OR a minimum of four years' experience working in a training and/or administrative environment
  • Maths & English GCSE at Grade C or above, OR Essential Skills level
  • A minimum of one year's recent experience (in the last 3 years) of working with young people aged between and adults
  • Experience of working to deadlines and meeting performance targets
  • Excellent MS Office experince including Excel
  • Travel between sites may be required for this role
  • Enhanced vetting including Access NI is required for this role

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that learners are enrolled on the correct programme and any barriers to success are identified and that remedial actions are agreed and followed up
  • Ensure learners receive a full induction onto their programme and know how to access and obtain support
  • Review progress in line with programme guidelines and inputs from relevant stakeholders including course coordinators, employers and careers officers
  • To consider the pastoral care of the students and work alongside curriculum departments and external agencies to support students
  • To consider the development of learner employability skills and to support the development of these skills with learners
