The Primary Care Division within Public Health Wales, are looking for a skilled, experienced and motivated Public Health Principal to support the transformation of primary care in Wales.


In this role you will work closely with partners and colleagues to bring a rigorous evidence-based approach to the primary and community care service transformation to support the ongoing development of primary care clusters in Wales as outlined in _A Healthier Wales.

_With the aim of transforming primary care to take a population focussed approach which is supporting prevention, early intervention whilst reducing inequalities and considering populations that may be excluded form routine services.

You will take a partnership approach requiring excellent communication skills.

Partners include the national Strategic Programme for Primary Care (SPPC), Welsh Government, other central and local public health teams, primary care professionals, primary care clusters, professional collaborative and colleagues in health boards or other organisations who support them directly.

You will have a good knowledge of primary care as a setting for public health action combined with expertise of effective strategies for improving health in this setting
