Are you a Communications Officer in search for an exciting new job opportunity? If so, the Greater London Authority are looking to recruit a Communications Officer on a 3-month contract (with possibility of an extension), starting immediately, to join theirgrowing team.


The role is 4 days a week (flexible on which days), 29.5 hours, based at City Hall and offers hybrid working, with 2 days' work from home.


THE ROLE:


The post holder will be responsible for the development and co-ordination of stakeholder engagement, communications, press, and marketing activity relating to the portfolio of the GLA's Culture and Creative Industries Unit's work, including co-ordinatingthe preparation and delivery of this activity, extending the reach of the Unit's work across the GLA and to external stakeholders.


The post holder will also assist in project planning and management to support the delivery of the Unit's programmes and projects.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Support the delivery of Mayoral cultural projects and programmes, specifically London Borough of Culture and Commission for Diversity in the Public Realm
  • Support the creation of new stakeholder relationships together with maintaining existing stakeholder relationships to ensure effective marketing and communications of the Mayor's Culture Strategy, during the implementation of associated policies and programmes.
  • Contribute to the Unit's stakeholder engagement, communications, press and marketing strategies, and support the coordination of their delivery across the team with internal and external partners and in accordance with the GLA's marketing, brand and digitalguidelines.
  • Work with the marketing, press and digital teams to ensure the Unit's communication channels (including social and digital) are integrated into the GLA wide marketing, press and communications activity.
  • Support the Unit's systems and processes for ensuring the effective delivery of the communications, press and marketing activity.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships within and outside the GLA and with other Functional Bodies to ensure that opportunities for joint communication and marketing are realised.
  • Maximise communications opportunities on projectrelated questions and correspondence to the Mayor and from Assembly members, Government departments and other organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
  • Ensure communications and marketing activity is consistently undertaken within the context of the Mayor's policies, objectives and concerns at conferences, seminars and meetings to external bodies and organisations.
