Quality Technician/ Engineer

Our well-established client based in Swindon are looking for a Quality Technician/ Engineer to join their growing team
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that customer complaints are validated and that corrective actions are robust using common quality tools such as 8D and 5 whys
- Monitor quality KPIs and construct a monthly report/review
- Monitor and ensure the system audit schedules are maintained
- Monitor supplier's performance and assist the Buyer with approval ratings
- Inspection of medium, small and tight tolerance components, using a wide range of measuring equipment
- Interpreting component drawings and customer standards to ensure products are produced to the highest possible quality
- Good Inwards Inspection/measurement of fabricated and sub assembly parts
- Maintaining QA/Production control documents including in process control documentation
- Raising internal and supplier Nonconformities and ensuring timely closure
- Carrying out Inprocess and focused welding audits on manufacturing areas
- Assisting production and Finishing cell areas with queries, standards or other issues
- Have an engineering apprenticeship, turning, milling, or other mechanical or inspection experience
- Able to understand engineering technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge or experience of 3D CMM and model files would be especially desirable (Mitutoyo and Aberlink CM Machines are in use)
- Understanding of the programming and running of Coordinate measuring machines (CMM) would be beneficial
- Engineered metallic components (turned / milled),Knowledge of ISO9001, AS/EN 9100 & an aerospace background
- Experience in Quality inspection & problem resolution and root cause analysis
- Knowledge of precision measuring equipment with CMM methods an advantage
- Knowledge of AS9102 FAIR completion
