Morgan Hunt is currently working with an international charity in search of a Head of Media to lead a busy press office.

This is a brilliant next step for a charity experienced Senior Media professional who has a hands on approach to leading a team of press professionals.

The role is offered on permanent basis with a salary up to £52,769.

Key responsibilities of the new Head of Media

To lead a multidisciplinary team of media specialists and a pool of freelancers to maximise planned and opportunistic media coverage for the charity across print, broadcast and online media.
To oversee the development, implementation and iteration of multichannel media strategies to support highprofile fundraising, brand, PR, campaigns and advocacy projects and moments.
To maintain a 24/7 media response capacity, enabling the charity to respond rapidly to breaking news stories to generate media coverage and social media engagement.
To lead and champion the media team in the use of social media to engage new audiences
To draft releases and assist with opeds and talking points with strong messaging aligned to communication strategies
To monitor reputational risk and develop strong responses.
To lead an ambitious, high performing Media Team, holding regular meetings to share information and discuss progress and initiatives, and participating in departmental / cross organisational meetings to contribute to departmental improvements and initiatives.

Key responsibilities of the new Head of Media

Experience of developing high impact media strategies
Good analytical skills and experience of identifying and tracking media trends, horizon planning, using insights to inform future planning and activity
Experience of working across news and PR
Previous experience leading a Media team in the charity sector.
