Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with a successful, busy and growing business based in Thurrock who are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to cover a member of staff on
maternity leave.
This role is based on site in Thurrock, and we would love to hear from you if you are actively looking for a long-term opportunity and have the skills set out below:
Primary responsibilities include:
- Inputting of purchase ledger invoices, Input invoices and credits, allocate correctly through MCS or RM/Register or Summit
- Balance statements with accounts at month end resolve any differences, request copies.
- Open new accounts in our system, provide requested info, ensure payment terms agreed with purchasing etc.
- Processing bank statement transactions
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparing monthly Supplier Statement reconciliations
- Petty Cash
- Providing telephone support to customers/suppliers
- Maintaining Excel spread sheets.
- Filing/Scanning of all purchase ledger invoices
- Supporting the Purchase Ledger Manager and Financial Controller in any other tasks requested
Skills Required:
- Previous experience within a similar or identical role.
- Professional telephone and communication skills
- Accuracy in entering and managing data.
- Ability to organise and manage workload.
- MCS or RM/Register or Summit experience preferred by not mandatory.
