Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Account Officer.

As an Account Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining client accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth.

This is a full-time position with opportunities for career advancement.


Accountant Position Overview

Key Responsibilities involve:

  • Preparing and posting month end journals
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare and produce Annual statutory accounts
  • Assisting with preparation of month end management accounts for multiple entities
  • Identifying variances, and analysing trends
  • Monthly & Quarterly VAT returns
  • Prepayments and Accruals
  • Process payroll using Sage 50 Bright pay.
  • Handle pensions and PAYE submissions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Proficiency in Accounting packages sage, iris, and other relevant financial software
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Assisting with purchase ledger when required

Requirements:


  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong work ethic and be a self starter
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and be a team player
  • Have experience of working in an accounting practice
  • Motivated to maintain up to date technical knowledge;
  • Conscientious with excellent attention to detail
  • Adhoc duties, reporting and analysis
  • 3+ years' working in an Accountancy Practice
  • ACCA/CIMA/AAT or Qualified by Experience

Pay:
£25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
