Job Summary:


Stockwood Park Academy is seeking an experienced and dedicated Fixed Term SENCO to join our thriving team until 31st August 2024.

This role has been created to enhance our current team and provide additional support for Continued Professional Development (CPD).

As a SENCO, you will play a vital role in ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the necessary support to thrive academically and personally.


Key Responsibilities:


1.


Strategic Leadership:


  • Provide strategic leadership for special educational needs across the school.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the SEN policy.

Assessment and Identification:


  • Oversee the assessment and identification of students with special educational needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and parents to create individualized support plans.

Collaboration:


  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to coordinate effective support.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and the wider school community.

Training and Development:


  • Provide training and support for teachers to enhance their ability to meet the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Stay updated on best practices and changes in the field of special education.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
