Description
This is an opportunity to work within the Generation Business Planning and Performance team, which develops our Nuclear Generation business unit's annual business plan and enables senior level oversight of its subsequent delivery to be maintained.
The performance reports you provide will enable timely and effective decision making to take place to support the delivery of Generation's key safety and operational performance objectives.
Your experience of building senior level relationships in the business to understand customer needs and presentational requirements will be paramount to this role, alongside having the ability to develop good working relationships at all levels across the organisation, to clarify the fundamental drivers of performance and likely solutions.

You'll be responsible for maintaining oversight of how the business's safety and operational metrics are performing and drawing senior management's attention to any areas of performance drift or issues requiring attention.
- Provide insightful performance information, analysis and reports to senior levels of management across Generation (including executive level) to enable oversight of progress towards agreed objectives to be maintained and to support timely decision making if performance levels drift.
- Liaise with fleet managers, station performance improvement managers and plant managers and their teams to understand prevailing performance drivers and potential solutions to issues.
- Use WANO and IAEA performance indicator programmes to provide insights on the performance of the generation business against its worldwide peers.
- Work constructively across the team and key service providers to support the implementation of new electronic ways of presenting and sharing data and performance information.
Who you are
You should have an eye for detail and an ability to identify significant performance trends, as well as being naturally inquisitive, possessing the ability to investigate and understand the drivers behind prevailing performance levels.
You need to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience of effective presentation to senior stakeholders and that you can assimilate and consolidate information from multiple sources to understand and communicate complex issues in simple ways, including for non-technical audiences.
You must have good IT skills enabling you to effectively access data and transform it into meaningful performance information as well as take an interest in exploring new technologies to support a new 'digital first' approach to presenting performance information.
You'll ideally hold an degree or HNC in a discipline related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths or Business and come with good commercial acumen.
