Contract role - Storage / Snapshot Engineer - Remote - 6 months initial - Inside IR35


We are supporting our financial services customer to look for
Storage / Snapshot Engineerwith general storage skills but in particular with DELL EMC, able to understand snapshot capability and design and implement storage replication solution.

Storage / Snapshot Engineerkey skills

  • A good understanding of storage systems, including networkattached storage (NAS), storage area networks (SAN), object storage, and data protection technologies such as RAID, backup, and recovery, is essential for a Storage/Snapshot Engineer.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and OpenStack is often required for managing snapshots and storage systems in virtualized environments.
  • The ability to write scripts in languages such as Python, Perl, Bash, or PowerShell is often necessary for automating storage operations, developing custom tools, and creating reports.
  • Storage Management Tools: Experience with storage management tools such as NetApp, EMC, HPE 3PAR, Pure Storage, and Dell EMC Unity, among others, is essential for monitoring and managing storage infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, and Veritas is critical for designing backup strategies, configuring backup policies, and performing data recovery.
  • Understanding of storage security measures and the ability to implement them, including data encryption, firewalls, and access control.
