As a Groundworker / Bricklayer you'll carry out work with a focus on delivering excellent customer service, along with an ethos of 'Right First Time' always completing a repair where practicable in one visit, ensuring high quality and high standards of performance.


You will carry out the operational duties of an all-round multi-skilled operative, including associated works, across the full range of repairs services on all One Manchester's owned and managed properties (both tenanted and empty homes) and on occasion contract work.

You will be agile, travelling directly to your first job utilising a company vehicle.


We're looking for those that can carry out groundworkers services including repair and renewal works relating to paving, flagging, macadam and drainage works.

To be able to offer the all-round multi skill, right first time service for our customers the ideal colleague would also be experienced in brick and block laying, wall repairs alongside other duties for example, lintel installation.


Critical knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • To have served and completed a recognised trade apprenticeship or appropriate NVQ L3 standard.
  • Evidence of key competencies specifically in groundwork (core trade) and bricklayer.
  • Working knowledge of legislation relating to H&S and CDM.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of working within a customer facing environment
As you'll be visiting our properties throughout Manchester, so you must have a full UK driving licence.
