About the Role:


  • Are you looking for a role supporting Learners and a college environment in a Business Support Administrator role?


This role will be rewarding if you have a passion to work on frontline customer services, work closely with College colleagues and learners to provide a welcoming and friendly environment, working towards a smooth and positive experience for all.


Your day to day role will work closely with the Team Leader and other Team members providing all aspects of support from a range of customer service, curriculum support, assessment support, financial support and supporting across the many departments within LECB.


You will need to possess a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to the varying changes required within this environment.


  • The College is always looking to continually improve the service provided to Learners, therefore being part of a Team to work towards solutions and changes is necessary for this role.

  • In order to succeed in this role, you will need a good standard of education and must have excellent ICT skills and knowledge, as well as a flair for assisting with promotion of services, aiming towards a more digitalised environment.


You will need to be an effective and confident communicator, able to liaise well with staff and Learners at all levels.


This is a front facing role and day to day contact with the public is essential, for which you will need to possess empathy, excellent customer service skills, ability to problem solve and confidence.

You will also need to work to tight deadlines, be able work effectively under pressure and be proactive in forward thinking with the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.


  • Previous experience of working in a customer facing role and experience of administrative support will be required for this post. You will also need to be able to work on your own initiative, work as part of a team and be committed to ensuring high levels of customer
- care.

  • This post is considered by the authority to be a customerfacing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers.
  • The council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
The appropriate standards are set out in the JD/Person Specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages.
