As a Cover Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of the action, responding to pupils' questions, providing valuable feedback, and contributing to the overall learning experience.
Your role as a Cover Supervisor is pivotal in shaping behaviour, fostering positive values, and encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during learning activities, serving as a positive role model.
- To assist with the work of duty staff at school breaks and lunch to ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils, visitors and staff.
- Keep students on task, respond to queries, and ensure completion of learning activities.
- Promote positive values and attitudes, handling conflicts promptly and encouraging student responsibility.
- Provide objective and accurate feedback to teachers on learning outcomes and the session's climate.
- Mark the register using SIMS accurately at the start of the lesson.
- To assist the Cover Manager with the schools' cover for teaching staff on a daily basis.
Qualification Requirements:
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a C grade in English and Maths
- Experience of working as a Cover Supervisor or officer in a similar environment
- Experience of using Microsoft Office and/or Google to produce a range of professional document
- QTS / PGCE is desirable
