Financial Accountant, Woking, £50-55k + Great Benefits incl Parking + Bonus (OTE to c£59k)
Working at a successful International business' Head Office.

This is a varied and challenging role incorporating elements of management, financial, group and intercompany accounting and will suit either a newly or fully qualified accountant, a finalist ora well skilled QBE.


You will be responsible for accounting for two legal entities, ensuring that appropriate processes and controls are in place for accurate and timely record keeping, reporting, stock accounting and compliance.

You will also assist the FC in various aspectsof group accounting and supplier compliance.


Duties:


Ensuring compliance with, and maintenance of, suitable accounting and processing policies, procedures and controls in accordance with local and international requirements and KPI policies.

Managing co-operation and key relationships with Finance and other departments.

Liaise with outsourced service providers.


Liaison with internal and external auditors, tax, pension and other advisors on control and compliance matters including VAT and income tax issues, policies and procedures.


Financial Accounting:


You will also stay up to date on developments in technical accounting issues (incl IFRS and local standards) their interpretation and implementation into accounting policy.


Ensure and co-ordinate compliance with group and local statutory reporting requirements, particularly in relation to annual audit and production of local accounts.

Assist in the management of outsourced finance service providers, involving selection, performance review and cost control.


Accounting for Entities:
Day to day management and processing of accounting transactions.


Regular liaison with outsourced finance service provider (OFSP) to ensure timely processing of accounting transactions, payment of local supplier invoices and submission of relevant returns to the authorities.

Prepare and submit monthly accounts including inventory valuations / prepayments and accruals / intercompany invoicing and offsetting.

Review and submit monthly accounts and balance sheets of the OFSP.

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts.

Submit Intrastat, VAT and Statistical data as required.

Prepare annual accounts together with a year end audit file containing all relevant supporting documentation.


This role will suit someone with experience in a similar all round financial and management accounting role who wants to develop themselves and to support those around them.

Strong systems skills are essential (SAP experience would be useful but is not essential).

A hard worker, strong attention to detail, pro-active and deadline orientated, confident communicator.
