What is the role?
We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our busy Accounts team.

This will be a varied role which will require the role holder to carry out purchase ledger duties in the main, but also assist with the subcontractor accounts & payroll if required.

This role reports into the Finance Director (Designate).

The role will include:

Process all purchase invoices and obtain approval for payment
Carry out supplier statement reconciliations
Assist with subcontractor processes in line with Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) standards and help manage monthly CIS returns when required
Any other accounting duties reasonably required by the Finance Director (Designate)

What we need from you?

Experience in a similar accounting role would be beneficial.
A relevant accounting qualification or working towards one would be beneficial, although not essential
Previous experience in the construction industry and dealing with subcontractors would be an advantage but not essential
Must be organised, diligent and able to work under pressure
