Job description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Recreational Activities Coordinator to join our team.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with planning weekly activities in line with the requests and choices of the residents
  • Enhance the wellbeing of residents through stimulating social and physical activities
  • Ensure the emotional, social, physical and intellectual needs of the residents are listened to and met
  • Assess needs and plan individual activities for residents who are unable to participate in group activities
  • Motivate the care team, promote the importance of activities and contribute to the caring culture of the Home

Requirements:


  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal
  • Show an empathetic, warm and cheerful personality
  • Ability to put creative ideas into practice
  • Experience of working with the elderly would be preferred but not essential
  • Experience in activities for older people will be an advantage
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Have the flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including alternate weekends
  • Computer skills essential

Salary:
£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
