Delta Hotels By Marriott are currently looking for a Front Of House Supervisor for our Durham Hotel.

This is an exciting role if you are looking to take a step in your career, have the support to progress and expand your knowledge in hospitality.


Job Summary:
You will complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system. Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks. Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Bell person, Housekeeping) as necessary to resolve guest call, request, or problem.

Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations in computer system, verifying guest identity, requesting form of payment, assigning room, and activating and issuing room key.

Sell a room/accommodation to guests without reservations based on availability. Ensure rates match market codes and that any exceptions are documented. Ensure checks that come from outlets (e.g., Health Club, Retail Shop) are scanned and charged to room.


Responsibilities:


  • Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures at all times to ensure a clean, safe and secure environment. Report any work related accidents immediately.
  • Maintain Confidentiality of Proprietary materials and information.
  • Address Guest' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
  • Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, properly services and area attractions.
  • Actively listen and respond to guests' concerns and resolve the issue.
  • Ensure that hourly employees are trained on company core values, job roles and all other aspects of their job.
  • Assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they are met.
  • Positively support all coworkers and partner with your team to achieve all goals.
  • Set high standards of performance and show responsibility for your work, take action proactively and going beyond what is required.
  • Ordering of guestroom supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms.
  • Obtain lists of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the food service industry
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of food production, preparation techniques, and culinary terminology
  • Familiarity with bartending techniques and drink recipes is a plus
  • Ability to handle highpressure situations while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and procedures

Salary:
Up to £24,960.00 per year
