ACDU Withybush General Hospital are looking for motivated, dynamic individuals who enjoy working alongside members of the MDT in a challenging but rewarding environment.

ACDU is an acute medical assessment unit specialising in short stay admissions.

We are also a unit which encourages staff development if that is what you desire.

Shifts include days and nights.

We are a supportive, friendly and motivated team and strive to deliver our Health Board values at all times.


As a unit we focus on a robust multi-disciplinary approach to ensure patients have the best possible outcome whilst staying with us.

The MDT are enthusiastic about improving the hospital experience and overall patient outcome.


You will ensure patients receive safe, individualised and effective standards of care by following care plans and treatment interventions as directed by the registered nurse.

You will also learn to communicate effectively and this will involve discussions with other members of the MDT and maintain ward philosophy.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

48 general practices (six of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
