Stanton House has recently partnered with a leading PE backed Energy Infrastructure provider in the North West to recruit a commercially focused Finance Business Partner on a 6-12 month interim assignment (outside IR35).
This organisation is a leader in the energy infrastructure space with a big focus on clean & sustainable energy, and their current turnover is valued at £300M.
After being recently acquired by a global PE house, they are rapidly growing through M&A and have acquired three businesses this year.
The Finance Director is seeking a commercially astute Finance Business Partner to work closely with both the commercial & operational teams to review the operating model and implement methodologies to drive both revenue and margin growth.
Responsibilities:
- Support the FD on value creation agenda through newly implemented processes aimed at leading and directing financial target setting
- Effective partner to commercial team through monitoring of customer profitability through appropriate cost allocation modelling and margin analysis
- Input into the review of financial KPI's that feed into operational and commercial planning forums
- Be the commercial finance point of contact with sales & operational teams, devising strategies to influence on revenue and costs.
- Produce models to showcase business performance and present findings to the leadership team.
- Support with the production of budgets, forecasts and variance analysis tasks.
- Drive process improvement initiatives across the business.
Skills & background required:
- Fully qualified under ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- Commercially astute with the ability to partner with leadership and multiple teams to drive revenue & profitability
- Background in utilities (or a contract heavy brand) is highly desirable
- Able to engage and manage stakeholders to participate in decision making for future commercial finance processes
