Key responsibilities for Quality Controller:
- To obtain details of scheduled work planned for the coming day from the Operations Coordinator or Duty Manager.
- To manage and motivate staff to achieve the required standards and work performance under the time constraints imposed by the aircraft scheduled arrival and departure.
- To liaise with airline / handling representatives to establish time constraints and communicate to Operations Coordinator / managers so that effective plans can be made.
- To be responsible for the cleaning or associated service standards of the aircraft assigned.
- To implement quality control procedures during operations and check that these are being carried out in accordance with company and airline procedures.
- To communicate with Team Leaders ensuring all equipment required is accounted for at the start and end of each shift. Ensuring any damage is notified for investigation to Duty Manager and where necessary preventative measures implemented.
- Working with Team Leaders to oversee the training and development of all new staff ensuring training records are kept up to date.
- To ensure all staff have the necessary skills, knowledge, and training to undertake the work they are expected to perform, especially around product specific specifications.
- To ensure that all members of staff associated with Up and Away show respect to one another and service partners.
- To communicate with Senior Management any problems that occur or which have occurred which are likely to have an adverse effect on the companys business or reputation.
- To carry out regular reviews on shift of the teams performance
- To ensure any equipment or vehicle damage is investigated and summary of that investigation passed to Management for action.
- To ensure onloads and dressing are to the correct specification and stored in the correct locations on board the aircraft.
- To liaise with relevant airline cabin crew that relevant onloads and dressing are present and relevant signature is captured if required.
- Maintain close relationships with client stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery
- To give a comprehensive handover at the end of each day.
- To capture audits using I Auditor and to identify and report trending items back to Team Leaders, Duty Managers, Base Managements and the Quality and Performance Manager.
- Update quality and performance boards at the station where applicable
- Additional duties
- From time to time you will be expected to carry out duties as and when requested by a manager which are related to the services offered by this company, particularly during busy periods, adverse weather conditions or to assist our customers at short notice.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Experience of presentation activities at an airport or within an airline.
- To be able to obtain and maintain a full airport security pass with access to the critical Part (Airside)
- To be able to obtain and maintain an airside driving qualification.
- Training qualification desirable or willing to work towards a train the trainer qualification.
- Customer service experience and/or dealing with 3rd party stakeholders.
- I.T literate with knowledge of Microsoft products and I Auditor for reporting and trending requirements.
