Licensed Asbestos Removal Worker

Location:

Finchley, London


Role Overview:


As a Licensed Asbestos Removal Worker, you will be responsible for the safe and effective removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials from various sites.

Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all work is conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct the safe removal and disposal of asbestoscontaining materials according to regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare work areas by setting up appropriate containment and decontamination zones.
  • Use specialized equipment and tools to remove asbestos materials while minimizing the release of fibres.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations, including the Control of Asbestos Regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work undertaken and materials removed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project objectives are met.

Valid Licensed Asbestos Removal Ticket

Completed asbestos medical examination

Fitted face mask certification

  • Previous experience in asbestos removal and handling hazardous materials.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety practices related to asbestos removal.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks in a demanding environment.

Job Type:

Temporary contract

Contract length: 2 months


Pay:
£20.00-£24.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • Asbestos medical examination (required)
  • Fitted face mask certification (required)
  • Asbestos removal ticket (required)
