Senior School Morning Receptionist

Part time

All year round

We are seeking to appoint a Senior School Receptionist with enthusiasm and flexibility, who will be responsible for receiving visitors, dealing with day-to-day enquiries, including telephone calls, and general duties in the main school office.

This post covers essential school administration in conjunction with the school office team. It requires the very highest standards of customer service at all times with the ability to deal with external visitors as well as staff at all levels. Highly accurate administration skills are essential.

Core duties include;

  • Ensure that all visitors are quickly made to feel welcome.
  • Communicate information quickly and efficiently to all those who need it.
  • Produce high quality documentation that represents the Head or Kent College.
  • Ensure that pupil attendance is recorded daily and accurately.

Kent College Pembury operates its own salary scale. The salary is dependent upon experience but is likely to be in the range of (FTE £21,000-£23,000) which prorate equates to £16,800-£18,400 per annum


The Admin Team is an integral part of the success of the school.


The team currently consists of:
Office Manager, Head's PA, Head of Prep School's PA, Senior and Prep School Receptionists and a School Administrator. The team works collaboratively and focuses on delivering seamless customer service.

The successful applicant should expect to become embedded in the life of the school and there will be opportunities to engage with different departments and teams, as well as developing your own skills through training opportunities.
