Damada Group, based in East Kilbride, is a multi-disciplined contractor with expertise across Asbestos Removals, Demolition/Soft-Strip and Land Remediation services.

With asbestos removals a core part of our business, Damada has extensive experience across all sectors and construction styles, ranging from small domestic projects to large industrial/commercial programmes/term contracts.

We are relied upon by a wide variety of professionals from contractors, loss adjusters, surveyors, engineers and other property professionals to provide a thorough and expert service, keeping safety and quality at the centre of all that we do.

Damada Group has a full HSE Asbestos Removal License and ARCA Membership (the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association), representing the mark of professional excellence within the asbestos industry.

Due to continued expansion and internal promotion, we are seeking to recruit experienced Asbestos Operatives with at least two years' experience and holding appropriate practical/technical qualifications.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Undertake duties in line with Contract Managers / Supervisors recommendations, instructions, and company policy, and in accordance with client requirements
Ensure your Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) is inspected and maintained as required
Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly
Assist colleagues in removal activities
Ensure that legislative requirements are always undertaken and maintained
Share knowledge and best practice techniques with members of the working team
Attend weekly/monthly meetings
All other duties as required

Desired Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

Good knowledge of current legislation in all areas of Health & Safety
Good understanding and knowledge of Control of Asbestos Regulations
Good understanding of Asbestos and where it can be found
Full UK Driving License

Essential Attributes:

2 years' industry experience
Meticulous attention to detail
Diligent and tenacious approach to meeting tight deadlines
Selfmanaging by continually assessing changing priorities and amending own work plan accordingly
Operative training certificate/CSC/CCDO card and possess a current fit to work medical
Effective interpersonal skills within a team environment
