Our client is currently looking for a Secretarial Support Assistant, supporting the Governance & Secretariat Manager and wider secretarial team.

This exciting role is brand new and will provide you with an opportunity to learn vital skills to develop into a PA role in the future.

We are looking for an ambitious and positive individual, who is approachable and enthusiastic to join a busy team in this varied role.

You will help the Governance & Secretariat Manager providing PA support to a number of Non-Executive Directors as well as becoming involved in a number of interesting projects and undertaking key tasks to support the governance requirements for the business.


The key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to book accommodation, business dinners, meeting rooms and coordinating catering requirements
  • Assisting Non-Executive Directors with general PA duties including expenses claims, printing, binding, scanning and travel queries
  • Assisting with coordinating papers for key board meetings including formatting papers to ensure they meet brand guidelines and uploading documents to a secure portal to share with the Directors
  • Maintaining CPD logs, gifts & hospitality registers and conflict of interest logs for Directors
  • Supporting the Governance & Secretariat Manager with coordinating board training
  • Assisting with recruitment projects for Non-Executive Director roles, including liaising with key agency partners and undertaking onboarding checks (including DBS and ID checks)
  • Managing the diary of key governance meetings across the business
  • Providing holiday cover for PA's in the business, assisting members of the Executive Board as required
You will have previous administration experience, good communication and stakeholder management skills - supporting remote Directors.

Strong IT skills - Office 365 including Word and PowerPoint are also essential, together with the drive, desire and ambition to progress into a PA role.
