What does the role involve?
In this role, you'll be working within a team environment.

You'll support in the delivery of a wide variety of projects within our growing Transport modelling and appraisal team and you'll be involved in a range of activities from bidding through to client management and project delivery.

The individual we are looking for will help to lead and support growth in the following core areas:

- business case advisory
- transport modelling and appraisal
- transport strategy
- securing new work


To be successful in this role you'll be:

Required to work with multi-disciplinary teams across our Transportation and Urbanisation division in the UK and our teams in Europe.

You will be able to demonstrate the following professional experience and personal qualities:


  • Postgraduate experience in the Transport sector essential.
  • Leading and guiding the development of business case and strategy projects essential.
  • Experience working on bids for local authority projects and/or frameworks essential.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and are passionate to find a quick, innovative and practical solution essential.
  • Good knowledge of transport appraisal and associated software (TUBA, COBALT, QUADRO, WITA etc) essential.
  • Good Experience in managing transport modelling projects which use strategic modelling software such as SATURN, VISUM and CUBE essential.
  • Excellent written communication skills and report writing experience essential.
  • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues and clients essential.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment, sharing knowledge and demonstrate pride in work essential.
  • Proven ability and interest in the development of innovative transport schemes desirable.
  • Good knowledge of relevant transport modelling guidance such as TAG, DMRB, PDFH desirable.
