As a Barclays Executive Assistant - Global Markets, you'll work within a fast-paced environment.
Our Global Markets business teams provide market insights, execution services, and tailored risk management and financing solutions to institutional & certain secondary market clients.
Your role is to provide support to senior Rates Trading MDs and their teams.This is a great opportunity to make a significant contribution interacting and collaborating with a diverse spectrum of people internally and externally in a wide variety of situations.

What will you be doing?
- Being responsible for extensive diary management, including requesting and organising meetings, conference calls and VCs, booking of rooms and hospitality
- Scheduling of client meetings, ensuring communication to all involved regarding logistics
- Raising and approving IT Requests, Gifts & Entertainment and New joiner setup
- Booking of global travel and logistics, including visas where necessary
- Working within the T&E policy, ensuring guidelines are followed when booking travel
- Processing all expenses in line with policy timelines
- Onboarding new team members, management of team distribution lists and team calendars
- Providing crosscover for other assistants in the wider team
What we're looking for:
- Investment Banking and trading floor experience within an executive assistant role
- Organised, confident, flexible, resilient, adaptable and approachable, coupled with great attention to detail, patience, awareness, and discretion
- Ability to work to deadlines, effective time management skills, excellent communication skills, driven and selfmotivated
- Ability to work independently but also within a broader team structure
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Good attitude towards ownership of tasks
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written, team player with a willingness to help
- Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure whilst remaining calm and composed
- Proactive, with the ability to think ahead

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
