Description

The client is a leading B2B brand and media partner of choice for premier news, currently owned by the UK's largest regional news publisher.

They provide information and insight for general insurance in the UK. Their audiences are key decision-makers, business placers and principals in brokers, insurers and service suppliers.

They also publish interviews, webinars, briefings and in-depth reports as well as deliver 5 different newsletters to subscribers.

They are now looking to hire a
Deputy News Editor to produce and edit market
- leading content for their leading B2B Brand.

You will sit in a small team of 3, supporting the News Editor.

This is a full time permanent opportunity paying up to £30k basic salary plus hybrid working min 2 days a week in office (Holborn location)


Responsibilities:


  • You will be expected to generate a volume of news content, assist the news editor to manage the team's overall news output and build industry contacts to inform news content are all vital components of this position.
  • Alongside creating content, you will also be required to edit news articles written by other members of the team, ensuring grammar, context and facts are correct and that the piece adheres to house style.

The Person:


  • You will have the ability to work effectively as part of the content team and to work with other colleagues from across the brand, including events, research, subscriptions and the commercial team, which is responsible for advertising and content marketing.
  • Although trade journalism experience is desirable this isn't essential to the role.
  • Experience subbing and editing B2B editorial content at fast pace
  • Ability to work flexible hours when necessary and attend industry events.
  • Absolute accuracy and attention to detail.
