Do you have experience as a production manager in a laser cutting / press brake environment?

We are looking to recruit a Laser & Fold Shift Supervisor with Laser Cutting / Folding experience to supervise the laser & fold department at HTA Group, part of the WEC Group based in Coventry.

To be successful in the role, you'll be an enthusiastic and engaging people manager, as well as a technical expert looking to make your mark in a successful and vibrant team.

Responsibilities

Increasing the efficiency outputs of our extensive range of laser cutting machines
Increasing efficiencies on our automatic loading systems
Creating an inclusive and efficient workforce
Creating plans which allow the team to effectively produce customer's orders 'On time and In Full' by strictly adhering to the production schedule
Ensuring the team fully understands the plan in terms of resource deployment, documentation and quality requirements, and then drive the team to meet the plan.
Ensuring cost and time targets or either achieved or exceeded in line with estimates
Ensuring any machine maintenance faults and problems are reported fixed and repaired in the most expedient manor and at the right cost through the use of onsite maintenance engineers and or subcontract laser technicians
Eliminating variation by the implementation of standard processes, procedures and practices.
Driving the team to ensure process controls are followed and adhered to at all times.
Maintaining a 'No Fault Forward' environment
Providing clear communications and performance report to management through shift handovers

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

5 years experience working with a laser cutting machining
Supervisory experience within a laser cutting environment
Experienced in leading a production workforce to exceed targets
Able to work efficiently and build effective working relationships at all levels
Ability to run a Co2 and fibre laser
FLT licence
