The role:

We are currently seeking an experienced HR generalist to join our People Services team, supporting our amazing workforce of over 250 paid staff and 900 volunteers.

The postholder will work collaboratively with the Head of People Services and team to deliver and continuously improve a people centred, proactive, solutions focused and legally compliant service, promoting a positive culture where staff and volunteers thrive and gain the most out of their working experience.

You will work as part of the team to build and maintain effective working relationships to support, partner and coach line managers with day-to-day operational people matters, as well as leading on wellbeing initiatives and absence management.

This post requires an Standard Disclosure and Barring Service check.

About you:

As a minimum, you will hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification and be an Associate member of the CIPD.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and influence across the workforce are essential as are a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and HR information systems.

You will be positive, enthusiastic, approachable and flexible with a good sense of humour.

Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment and/or a not-for-profit organisation, would be an advantage but not essential.
