Join us as our Marketing Business Partner in Corporate & Institutional Banking

  • Lead a team of marketing professionals by translating business strategy, plan, budget and driving execution
  • Daytoday, you'll lead the marketing for our Corporate and Institutional customer businesses, including Markets, supporting the strategy and commercial objectives alongside brand objectives

What you'll do:


As our Marketing Business Partner in Corporate & Institutional Banking, we'll look to you to lead engagement with senior business leaders on converting business Objective Key Results into a customer centric strategy, with plans and campaigns.

You'll design the marketing strategy, making decisions on resources and plans to prioritise and deliver on the strategy, translating these into a three-year marketing strategy with an annual plan.


You'll lead a team of marketing professionals by translating strategy into operational management activities, along with recommending and delivering a portfolio of products and services in line with the Marketing service proposition, through effective collaboration with the Marketing Centres of Excellence and all other relevant internal and external partners.

You'll sit on our leadership committees and interface with senior leaders within RBS International and NatWest Bank NV.


Your top priorities will include:

  • Providing insight to business stakeholders on marketing strategy, including annual business planning, marketing campaigns and proposition exploration and development
  • Leading and developing a professional, capable and engaged team to meet the needs of the business and customers
  • Delivering accurate and reliable profiling for the broad spectrum of customers within our Corporate, Institutional and Markets businesses, allowing for personalised marketing interventions to be deployed to the appropriate decisionmaker within the business
  • Delivering against commercial goals through direct and response marketing, developing a consistent approach Group wide
  • Acting as a spokesperson for Corporate & Institutional Banking at external engagements such as trade events and through online networks
  • Identifying key marketing priorities through the provision of expert diagnostics, analysis and decision support, making recommendations to the business and Centre of Expertise

The skills you'll need:


In addition, you'll have marketing experience within a large matrix organisation and knowledge of the banking industry, regulatory and commercial environment, specifically corporate and institutional banking including financial and capital markets.


Furthermore, you'll need:

  • Marketing technical expertise including Global Corporates, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Real Money Funds, Global Insurers, Non-Bank Financial Institutions, Structured Finance, and Markets
  • Crossborder marketing experience in key geographical markets aligned to NatWest's Commercial & Institutional franchise, including European Economic Area, United States, Singapore, and Japan
  • Experience of leading diverse, professional teams
  • Experience of operational and financial planning with budget management experience
  • A high level of drive, energy and personal commitment to success
  • The ability to make data driven decisions and support a culture of continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding and communicating complex commercial models of value and volume to a broad audience of stakeholders and collaborators
  • Knowledge of relevant legal policies, regulations and risk management
