An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the finance team to help shape our next chapter as we continue to grow as a team.
The Head of Financial Management is a key member of the finance and wider leadership team.This role acts as the lead for all aspects of financial management with responsibility for establishing, reviewing and improving all financial management processes and systems, whilst understanding the totality of the group financial position.
You will be a qualified CCAB / CIMA accountant (or Masters equivalent) with at least 5 years post qualification experience at a senior level, show evidence of leadership training and staff management, have excellent communication skills and display a passion for staff development.
- To lead and manage the Management Accounting function in order to deliver a topquality service. This is to secure financial control through the production of accurate management information.
- Develop and maintain effective reporting of group financial management information to Trust regulators, Derbyshire System and a range of internal stakeholders including the Trust's Director of Finance, Hospital Leadership Team, Finance and Performance Committee and Trust Board.
- Manage the overall preparation of the group financial plan and lead on budget setting.
- Work closely in a business partnering capacity with senior management and clinical staff at the Trust including the Executive and Divisional Management Teams and other senior clinical staff and multidisciplinary teams, directly influencing the strategic and business decision making.
- Provision of expert financial advice and support for complex business cases.
- Responsible for the coordination across divisions of efficiency plans and support to the transformation agenda.
- Provide leadership to the corporate finance team including staff management and development, ensuring that training needs are identified and met, that effective succession planning is introduced and that the staff are equipped to deliver high quality services.
