Main duties of the job
In addition to the below summary you need to familiarise yourself with full job description and person specification documents attached to this advert.
you will be working in the busy diagnostic lung function and sleep services unit at City or QMC campus where all training is performed in-house to deliver a range of respiratory related breathing tests including the collection and analysis of blood samples.
You will perform some administrative duties related to your clinical role and also support the department secretary in completing the vast range of administrative duties essential for the running of the service.
You will be expected to study for and pass nationally recognised courses in Spirometry and capillary blood gas collection and analysis during the 1st 12 months of recruitment.
You will be working with the general public both face to face and on the telephone as part of a team and independently and you may be on your feet for a long period of the day therefore a basic level of fitness is essential.

See attached job description; to be part of a team of physiologists performing a range of basic routine and more complex respiratory and sleep physiological measurements to appropriate standards and in accordance with local and national guidelines.

training and qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE grade C or above english language, mathematics and biology / science
- ARTP / BTS certificate in spirometry
- knowledge of Medway PAS and microsoft office

The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
