An opportunity has arisen to join University Hospitals Bristol and Weston (UHBW) as an Assistant Cancer Family History Co-ordinator for the Clinical Genetics Service.


The Bristol Regional Clinical Genetics service covers the areas of Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire and North Somerset, and is led by the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust based at St Michael's Hospital in the centre of Bristol.

The service provides specialist clinics in Bristol and throughout the region.

The service is a rapidly evolving and is an exciting specialty to work for, so if you are someone who is enthusiastic about being part of an effective team and embraces change in a complex, specialised and evolving environment then this role is for you.


The Assistant Cancer Family History Coordinator will work along and under the supervision of the Cancer Family History Coordinator and will be essential to the efficient and smooth running of the family history processes for cancer genetics patients.

The post holder will be part of a team providing administrative support to the cancer genetics clinical teams and will undertake a variety of tasks to deliver a quality service to patients and families.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive team player with experience of working in an administrative setting. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. Knowledge and or experience of cancer pathways and specialist terminology is desirable.
