Are you a Pharmacy Technician looking for a new challenge in Primary Care? To work in a progressive practice alongside a large multi-disciplinary team?


West End Medical Centre (WEMC) is looking to recruit Pharmacy Technicians to join the team to update patients' medications following hospital admissions and outpatient appointments, process pharmaceutical queries and offer pharmacy support to the practice.


The Practice:
WEMC is at the forefront of delivering a social model of care.

Supported by a large multi-Disciplinary team including Nurses, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists and Occupational Therapists to support this forward-thinking approach to patient care.


  • We are at the leading edge of Primary Care developments, with a large MDT focused on delivering the right care at the right time.
  • The Practice works in partnership with the Health boards Primary & Community Care Academy and hosts a GP who leads in education and training for Primary Care Practitioners working in the Surgery.
  • We are a Health Board Managed Practice, with a list size of approximately 18,000 patients.

Requirements:


  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC),or due to register soon.

The Role & Responsibilities:
We're looking for Pharmacy Technicians to come and join our multi professional team.

  • We can offer you a flexible contract with full or part time options available.
  • Opportunity to work out of hours in Secondary care (not mandatory).
  • Your week will consist of Meds Management tasks and time for Research/ Professional Development.
  • Supporting the continuing development of the Pharmacy service within WEMC, alongside the Practice management team.
  • Engaging with regular practice Key Team MDTs
  • Proactive medication safety audits and acting on these for complete audit cycle
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
