Restoration cleaner - job role

( This is more interesting, varied and challenging role than a normal cleaning role)

Rainbow International carry out work for the Uk's top insurance companies carrying out fire and flood clean up's and restoration projects.

We also carry out industrial cleaning projects privately for domestic and commercial customers.

Working as a
Restoration Cleaner you may occasionally work on your own but mostly you will work as part of a team.

The role is challenging but very varied as you will work on different projects.

As well as working out on site some days will be spent working in our warehouse. We operate a flexi time system and there is some overtime available during busy periods.

Job duties

Fire restoration projects Domestic - this is 80% of the work volume for the job role and involves carrying out a deep clean to the customers house following smoke/ fire damage.

This will involve cleaning the structure of the house from top to bottom to remove and neutralise all smoke contamination.

Access equipment such as ladders and platform staging will be used where appropriate.

The work will also usually involve removing all contents from the kitchen cupboards, cleaning the units, cleaning all the contents and replacing them.

In other rooms we will be cleaning all the sanitary wear and fitted wardrobes etc. There will be cleaning of ornaments and china.

Cleaning furniture and glassware etc To facilitate the decorating we will often be cleaning and packing contents into boxes for storage on or off site.

Packing and then lifting and stacking boxes is therefore a regular task.

Packing contents for removal - sometimes we have to pack up all contents of the house for off site storage.

Cleaning and listing and re packaging household contents ( on site or in our warehouse)

Laundry - sorting clothing, washing and ironing in our laundry in our warehouse.

Usually you will work as part of a team and the duties will be shared in order share the workload and to get the project completed.

The role, although varied can be hard and challenging as we can be faced with deadlines on some projects.

Uniform - we provide uniform and ppe all provided.

Holidays - 22 holidays per year in addition to bank holidays. These increase after 1 years service.

Pay :
£ 10.70 per hour and the ability to drive a company vehicle would increase pay.
