Are you passionate about providing support and advice to young people aged 11-25?


We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated
Support and Advice Worker to join our team at the Youth Advice Centre (YAC) in Crawley.

You will provide advice, information, support and guidance to vulnerable young people around a variety of issues including sexual, physical and mental health, education, employment and training, benefits and housing advice, family and relationships and community safety.


Providing a safe space where all service users identities are respected and their needs are met, you will actively engage and educate young people using the general advice drop-in providing a range of evidence-based information on a wide range of issues and connecting young people with internal and external support pathways.


This role is based on site in Crawley, working 3 days a week (days to be discussed at interview).


We are looking for a skilled individual who has previous experience working with young people and has a good knowledge of local services.

You will need to be creative in how you approach your work, ensuring that the service delivered is accessible to young people with varying needs and be prepared to adapt support in a holistic and personalised way.

In addition, will have previous experience and knowledge of safeguarding processes.


YMCA DLG requires all staff and volunteers to be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults and to respond proactively to safeguarding concerns. Successful applicants are required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure (including the Children's barred list and the Adults' barred list) **via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
