SEN Preparing for Adulthood Officer:

Tower Hamlet's vision is to enable young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to live, learn and work within their local community, achieve sustained progression, resulting in better life outcomes.

We are seeking a highly motivated, reflective PfA officer to support this vision.

As a PfA officer, the successful applicant will receive requests for statutory EHC Needs assessments and support the process of assessment, development, and maintenance of EHC Plans for young people aged 14-25 years.

They will also support young people in their journey to adulthood.

This individual will need a sound working knowledge of SEN and a thorough understanding of the Post 16/ Preparation to Adulthood pathway.

The ability to manage a diverse caseload of young people is essential for this role, as is an ability to support young people to access services that promote their well-being and independence in a meaningful way, and a commitment to co-productive working with parents, carers, children, and professionals.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
