Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a postdoctoral research associate to join a project funded by Life Arc Rare Disease (Pathfinder) Scheme.
The project to develop novel and be-spoke Artificial Intelligence Algorithms for profiling of a multicenter salivary gland cancer dataset in collaboration with Professor Nasir Rajpoot and his Tissue Image Analytics Centre at the University of Warwick.
You will be expected to perform high quality research under the supervision of Professor Ali Khurram (and work as part of the NEOPATH Research Group.The expectation is that you will produce breakthrough research results on sophisticated tools for deep learning and computational pathology, publish these results in top rated venues, and assist with the deployment of those tools for validation on the trial data.
As a part of this project, you will employ state of the art Machine/Deep Learning and AI methods to develop novel algorithms for diagnostic and prognostic prediction and risk stratification in digitised human tissue samples.
The role is based at the University of Sheffield, although the ability to travel to other partners may be required.
