Clerk of Works


A multi-disciplinary, dynamic yet traditional consultancy are looking for a Clerk of Works to join their team to focus on new-build residential schemes, schools and re-cladding projects in and around London, and occasionally Birmingham.


The Company


The Clerk of Works will join a small-medium sized consultancy that provides services in: Project Management, Building Surveying, CDM, Quantity Surveying and more.


The Role

The Clerk of Works will be expected to

  • Quality Control based Site Inspection.
  • Attendance at meetings.
  • Provision of verbal and written reports. Client/Contractor liaison.
  • Monitoring of site safety
  • Ensure work meets specifications
  • Report to Director
  • Inspection off all stages of the construction procress
  • Prehandover inspections
  • Record defects and reinspect
  • Written and IT based reports (Word/Excel)
  • Ensure projects meet budget and workload
  • Assist in fee generation
  • Maintain client relationships
  • Comply with company quality standards
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety standards
  • Attend relevant Health and Safety training
  • Aware off local evacuation procedures
  • Strong IT skills
