Description

Sacro's mission is to deliver life-changing services that empower people, give hope and protection, and help to build safe communities.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within our AYE Service, the AYE service supports those at the early stages of the Justice System who have problematic substance use.

The service takes a public health approach to justice and encourages recovery and community integration.

The service works in partnership with Justice Social Work and the South Lanarkshire ADP and provides a community alternative to remand for individuals appearing at South Lanarkshire Courts, Police Scotland Custody Suites or being diverted from prosecution.

You will assist in the delivery and development of the day to day running of Bail Supervision, Arrest referral and Diversion services under the direction of the Team Leader and Community Justice Manager.

You will be involved in the assessment and appropriate monitoring/support of service users, including home visits.

You will be responsible for the management of data relating to service users, preparing written reports for Social Work and the Sheriff Court and liaison with other agencies.

All posts require the ability to use initiative and organise workload within a pressurised environment.

Knowledge of the Justice system, substance misuse, homelessness and/or complex needs and of the relevant services available in South Lanarkshire area would be an advantage.

Relevant experience within Justice services as well as partnership working is desirable.

The successful applicants will be flexible and proactive in their approach and sensitive and confident in their ability to assist service users.

Sacro services work with individuals involved in offending, anti-social behaviour and substance misuse issues. Experience in social care and working with offenders is desirable. A relevant qualification at SVQ level 3 or equivalent is desirable but training will be provided.

We are actively seeking individuals with lived experience in recovery or within the Justice System and would encourage you to apply.

Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) will be a requirement for this post. Along with satisfactory references.

A driving licence will be required and access to a vehicle with appropriate business insurance.
We offer some great benefits, including family friendly policies, flexible and hybrid working and work-life balance.

We also have generous annual leave entitlement, employee wellbeing scheme, cycle to work scheme, pension scheme and death in service, enhanced company sick pay.

We will offer learning and development, progression and qualifications with the opportunity for growth and development.
