Tradewind Recruitment are working with an SEN School in Rotherham that is looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to start ASAP.

The successful applicant must have experience of supporting children with special educational needs, or working with adults or young people with complex behaviour needs.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, and you will be required to work aspart of a team and under the direction of the SENCO.

The successful applicant will be required to provide 1:1 support to primary age children with behavioural needs.

This could involve helping with academic work, providing emotional and social support, and helping to implement strategies to support the children.

Up-to-date knowledge of SEN legislation would be an advantage for the role, and the successful Behaviour Support Assistant should be able to effectively implement and use strategies to support the children.

You must also be able to develop positive relationshipswith the children, parents, and staff and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will be working as part of a team and under the direction of the SENCO, and must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

You must also be organised and able to work to deadlines.

The successful Behaviour Support Assistant should be calm, patient and approachable, and be committed to making a positive difference to the lives of the children.
