We have a very exciting opportunity, working for one of the North Easts fasting growing businesses Our client is seeking aSenior Accounts Assistant based in Middlesbrough. This is a new position due to further growth within the company and would suit a very customer focussed individual, with the desire to support the financial function of the business, in a modern office environment.
Duties as a Senior Accounts Assistant:
- Performing bank reconciliations and dealing with expenses
- Inputting and maintaining both the Purchase and Sales ledger
- Work closely with the Finance Manager
- Ensuring insurances, bank postings and pension information is updated
- Running payroll and assisting with VAT returns
- Carrying out credit control
- Updating systems
- Completing both weekly and monthly journals
- Assist with adhoc duties
What we are looking for:
- Experience in a similar position or covering similar duties
- AAT qualified (desirable)
- Experience being exposed to payroll duties
- Knowledge of financial systems and Sage
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- A keen eye for detail
- A positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills on all levels
