About us

The opportunity has arisen for an Early Years & Childcare Capital projects co-ordinator within the Vale's Childcare & Early Years Team to deliver Welsh Governments capital grant programme.

The Vale Childcare & Early Years team and Flying Start team are working in partnership to deliver Welsh Government's Capital programme to strengthen and support good quality childcare in relation to Childcare Offer, Flying Start and Early Education programmes.

The post holder will work in partnership with multi-agency partners from the Local Authority, third sector organisations, schools etc. in order to provide effective and quality outcomes for early years and childcare opportunities for children and their families.


About the role

Pay Details:
Scale 7 pt £28,371 - £32,020

Hours of Work /
Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Description:

to administer the Early Years and Childcare capital grant programme of projects and small grants scheme ensuring the development of the projects meet requirements for grant awarded
.


***Manage and monitor the programme for the development of the projects and small grants scheme consulting with all key stakeholders through the process.


About you

You will need:

  • Relevant experience of leading on large scale capital projects adhering to grant conditions and producing reports.
  • To lead on the project developments working with key stakeholders to deliver on the Early Years & Childcare Capital grants programme
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant filed i.e., project management, business administration.
  • Ability to work on your own initiatives as well as a member of a
  • Ability to work under pressure and have a flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to operate a range of Microsoft Office programmes

  • Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate.
