Description
The Counselling & Mental Health team is seeking to recruit a Mental Health Advisor, with a registration to a professional body (e.g. HCPC, SWE, NMC), and preferably with experience in Higher Education setting and population.


Student Support and Wellbeing Services combine a range of teams to deliver holistic support for students, including the Counselling & Mental Health team.

The team works in a busy environment and is currently in an exciting phase of expansion and development that includes an additional Mental Health Advisor post.


As a Mental Health Advisor with the Counselling & Mental Health team you will undertake clinical triages and assessments, manage an ongoing caseload supporting students living with longer-term mental health conditions, assist Student Support and Wellbeing on emerging complex mental health issues and crisis in students, provide clinical consultation for safeguarding and other university staff, and assist in developing the team's student service-user participation and peer-support initiatives.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires a Disclosure and Barring Service certificate. You are therefore required to disclose details of any criminal record.
