An exciting opportunity has arisen to come and join one of the UK's largest tile importers based in West Midlands with a secondary site in Liverpool.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Accounts Administrator to join our team.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will range from bookkeeping to answering accounts queries and engaging with our customer base, a full list of duties can be found below.

We are a small and dynamic team and may require you to help in areas of the business outside of your defined responsibilities from time to time.


The hours of work will be Monday - Friday 08:00am - 15:00pm based at our Head Office in West Bromwich, however we will be relocating to Tividale B69 2NU at the beginning of 2023.


Main responsibilities will be:


  • Checking purchase invoices against customer orders
  • Uploading purchase invoices onto the SAGE system
  • Raising purchase notes and delivery notes
  • Setting up of accounts on to the SAGE system
  • Managing the bank and cash flow, processing bank payments, including bank reconciliation.
  • Processing international payments
  • Sales and purchase ledger
  • Dealing with currency conversion and euro conversions
  • Credit control
  • Deal with customer account queries
  • Posting payments to customer accounts
  • Chasing debtors for payments
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers, and sales team regarding queries
  • Raising credit notes
  • Dealing with VAT returns
  • Posting and allocation of payments
  • General office support and administration

Skills required:


  • Good working knowledge of Sage, however this is not essential
  • Good problemsolving skills
  • Experience of working in a team setting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office packages, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Customer care skills

Job Types:

Mon-Fri 09:00am to 15:00pm


Salary:
£21,840 per annum


Benefits:

Company pension - Employers usual contribution 3%, we match employee contribution of 5%. Total Pension contribution is 10%.
