Join our prestigious School as a Graduate Debater in Residence, where you'll harness your skills to engage, challenge, inspire and help shape the future of debating at the School.

King's has a vibrant and successful Debating Society, which competes regularly through the year at national competitions. Historically teams have progressed to finals days of Oxford, Cambridge, ICYD and ESU Mace. Interhouse Debating also runs through two terms.


Working in tandem with the new Head of Debating, the Debating Society and debating / public speaking activities you will coach and train students in debating and public speaking as well as planning and delivering a development programme for the top speakers.


You will be a recent graduate with a passion for debate and extensive personal experience of competitive debating at a high level and of convening and judging schools competitions.

You will have recent experience of the university debating circuit, and the trends within judging and motion setting.
