We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Band 2 Health Care Support Worker within our busy Outpatient Department, based at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen.


Outpatients is the front door to the patient's journey into planned health care and the exit to successful health management.

Outpatient services offers experience in a wide range of specialities and is a diverse, multidisciplinary environment requiring flexible and adaptable skills, an aptitude to learn and a motivation to develop your own skills.

The post is for a 30 hours per week, part time position, the service is currently Monday - Friday with hours ranging between 8am - 6pm and occasional evening clinics until 8pm.


You will work as part of the nursing team performing a range of duties to ensure the smooth provision of clinics.

You will undertake a range of clinical observations/tests required for various clinics.

You will also be required to act as a chaperone during consultations and assist clinicians with procedures.

You will help to maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure that infection control policies are followed.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
